Altitude Training

I'm telling myself that skiing in Vail, Colorado was altitude training for the Appalachian Trail. So if I get back to the gym this week I'll totally be at least 12% more fit than I was before Colorado, right? In the last month, I've been so obsessed with planning for the trail that I've neglected the physical aspect of planning. But don't worry! Starting TODAY, I'm gonna be the nerd in the corner of the gym on the StairMaster with a weighted backpack. Seriously.

We lucked out with a few glorious blue bird days with some fantastic spring skiing. I made another video, this time with the whole gang! I used my new handlebar mount on my ski pole that I'll be using on my trekking pole this summer. I will probably never ski with that device again. I'm not coordinated enough to ski while holding a camera in front of me. It'll be awesome on the trail, though!
