Hiking the Appalachian Trail for suicide prevention

The Plan

From April 7 to August 21st, 2016, my adventure sister, Danielle, and I trekked the Appalachian Trail from Georgia to Maine to raise money for the American Foundation for Suicide Prevention (AFSP). We dedicated our 2,189 mile journey towards Mount Katahdin to loved ones who battled and are battling depression.

The Goal

We aimed to raise $3 for each mile we hike- that's $6,540 for hiking the entire AT. If you are interested in donating, visit our AFSP fundraising page: Hiking Miles for Smiles.

We Did It

On August 21st, 2016, we surpassed our fundraising goal and raised over $10,000 for AFSP! We are extremely humbled by the overwhelming support we received throughout our trek from Georgia to Maine. We are endlessly thankful to our donors for contributing to such an important cause.
